Dr. Griffith is a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine physician at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center and at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center. His research focuses on improving specialty care delivery to Veterans who are homebound or live in nursing homes due to significant functional or cognitive limitations. He has had Dept of Defense, VA, and NIH funding for his research. He has experience conducting hybrid implementation trials that not only identify the effectiveness of therapies to treat chronic pulmonary and sleep conditions, but also ensure that barriers (e.g. organizational readiness, patient perception, cost, etc...) to their use in the target population of older adults are identified and understood.

  • Respiratory complications of ALS and Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Management of chronic pulmonary and sleep conditions among older adults with dementia
  • Delivery of specialty care using telehealth technologies
