‪David E. Reed, II, PhD
Title: Associate Health Fellow
Contact: David.Reed7@va.gov
Location: Seattle
See Dr. Reed's Dimensions profile that includes: publications, grants, datasets, patents and clinical trials
I am a clinical psychologist and researcher whose research focuses on ensuring complementary and integrative health interventions (e.g., non-pharmacologic mind-body interventions such as mindfulness) are available for Veterans with co-occurring mental and physical health conditions. I also study existential self-regulation (e.g., meaning in life) and how to better incorporate existential perspectives into healthcare systems.
My work is based on the idea that we are human, first and foremost. Veterans, no matter what diagnoses they may have, deserve care that aims to ensure they reach their potential in every aspect of their lives.
I hope that my work leads to better access to mind-body interventions for Veterans, continued improvement in Veteran care, and a greater acknowledgement that existential concerns should be a focus of psychological treatment among patients and clinicians.
