Dr. Scorsone is a research fellow at the Seattle-Denver COIN. Her research interests include studying system- and patient-level barriers to accessing mental health and substance abuse treatment in rural communities. Her focus is on developing innovative strategies to address the opioid epidemic, facilitate care delivery to marginalized populations, and address the disparities in treatment for opioid use disorder experienced by underserved and rural communities. She received her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Rochester and her PhD in Nursing Research from the University of New Mexico.
