Research Activities

Valentina Petrova is a qualitative researcher leading teams through research and quality improvement project cycles including proposal writing, data collection and management, coding, analysis, and findings dissemination. She also trains research staff and investigators on data collection (participant-centered interviewing style) and analysis (using ATLAS.ti software). At the VA she has worked on projects focused on a variety of topics including: virtual care innovations for mental health evidence-based treatments, health equity issues in a weight management program and in pulmonary testing, de-implementation efforts around oxygen prescription and cardiac catheterization, and evaluations of programs such as provider training, a medical scribe pilot, and access to care for Veterans recovering from COVID-19.
