Research Interests

See Dr. Rauzi's Dimensions profile that includes: publications, grants, datasets, patents and clinical trials

My research centers around improving physical rehabilitation interventions for older adults with multiple chronic conditions to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce the risk of future adverse events. I am also passionate about extending this research to explore how to improve rehabilitation interventions for Veterans with chronic pain. My research focuses on use of digital health technologies to deliver physical therapy services, facilitate data sharing, and supplement interventions.

Video: 2021 PODS I Michelle Rauzi, Shares Thoughts on Research and Funding

In 2021, the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR) awarded $232,500 in Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) including $82,500 in PODS I Scholarship funding to 11 researchers. Among those researchers was Michelle Rauzi, PT, DPT, ATC, for her project titled: “Telehealth for Medically Complex Older Veterans.”

This scholarship was funded by the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.

"Expanding knowledge in this area will serve to improve access to healthcare services, quality of life, and physical function in this underserved population," said Michelle. "I am very thankful to FPTR, as well as all the donors, for making this scholarship possible."
