Working with Dr. Cari Levy on an HRS&D-funded study of VA purchasing of community nursing home care. Also working with Dr. Cari Levy and Dr. Mary Ersek on a QUERI-funded QI project titled Preferences Elicited and Respected for Seriously Ill Veterans through Enhanced Decision-Making (PERSIVED). The PERSIVED QUERI aims to prevent unwanted, burdensome life-sustaining treatment (LST) by consistently eliciting preferences for care from seriously ill Veterans. Additionally, working with Dr. Hillary Lum on a mixed-methods study of homeshare organizations. Previously worked with Dr. Lucas Donovan on an evaluation of a nurse-led triaging and decision-making for sleep medicine referrals.

Webinar: Using the Tailored Implementation in Chronic Diseases (TICD) Framework to Design Tailored Implementation Plans: A Methods Cyberseminar

by Leah Haverhals, PhD, MA; Jennifer Kononowech, MSW; Kate Magid, MPH
Seminar date: 4/13/2023

Description: During this cyberseminar, we will describe a rapid, six-step process for analyzing pre-implementation interview data using the Tailored Implementation in Chronic Diseases (TICD) framework. Next, we will provide a specific example of how the Preferences Elicited and Respected for Seriously Ill Veterans through Enhanced Decision-Making (PERSIVED) quality improvement program uses this analytic approach to design tailored implementation plans. We will end with lessons learned from applying this analytic approach and with recommendations on how the TICD can be used more broadly in the implementation science field.
